Huddles are the heartbeat of The Photo Mentorship community. These informal, free meetups are organized by our students in cities and towns across the country. Groups range from a handful of photographers to gatherings of 50 or more, all coming together to learn from each other and enjoy a shared love of photography.

Sometimes these meetups are simple coffee-and-camera afternoons; other times, they turn into destination adventures—like traveling to Utah to shoot the Milky Way together. Whether it’s close to home or on a bucket-list trip, Huddles give you real-world practice and lasting friendships.

At the center of The Photo Mentorship experience is our private Facebook community—a safe, supportive space where you can post photos, ask questions, and get feedback 24/7.

Our mentors are active in the group, answering questions daily, so you’ll never feel stuck. You’ll also be surrounded by other students on the same journey, which means there’s always someone to cheer you on, give tips, or inspire your next idea.

There’s nothing like hands-on learning. Our workshops are immersive events designed to fast-track your growth. Over several days, you’ll train side-by-side with our professional mentors—attending classroom sessions and then heading out on real photo shoots to put new techniques into practice.

You’ll leave with a stronger portfolio, clearer confidence behind the camera, and personal relationships with both mentors and fellow students who share your passion.

Excursions are where mentorship meets adventure. These multi-day to week long photography trips take you to extraordinary locations—places like Iceland, Ecuador, the American Southwest, and even Alaska on a cruise.

You’ll travel with mentors and fellow students, learning in the field as you explore. Every day combines teaching sessions, guided shoots, and personal feedback. By the end of an Excursion, you’ll have incredible images, unforgettable memories, and a huge leap forward in your skills.

Our online coaching calls give you personal access to your mentors, no matter where you live. Hosted on Google Meet, these group calls let you ask direct questions, share challenges, and get specific feedback on your work.

You’ll also connect with other students, building relationships and accountability as you all grow together. It’s an intimate, high-value way to get unstuck and move forward quickly.

Photo Challenges are a favorite part of The Photo Mentorship community. Every month, we announce a new creative challenge to stretch your skills. You’ll get feedback from mentors, see how other students approach the same idea, and push yourself in ways you wouldn’t on your own.

Weekly Lives are the cornerstone of our mentorship. These interactive live trainings bring the classroom to you, no matter where you are. Each week, one of our mentors hosts a session on a specific topic—whether it’s exposure settings, editing techniques, mastering landscapes, or turning your passion into a business.

You can ask questions in real time, watch demonstrations, and even submit your photos for critique. It’s like getting a new photography class every week, without ever leaving your living room.
