Course description
Wildlife Photography 101 teaches you how to safely and skillfully capture stunning wildlife images in the field. Brandon Chesbro walks you through essential gear, camera settings, modes, and focusing techniques for fast, unpredictable subjects. You’ll learn how to find emotion in your shots by knowing where to go, what to look for, and how to use light and composition effectively. The course includes real-time on-location lessons at a local state park to show you practical shooting in action. Brandon highlights common mistakes to avoid, like poor focus, distracting elements, bad composition, and image artifacts. You’ll also explore editing basics, comparing color versus black-and-white treatments and learning why cropping — especially around the eyes — is critical. By the end, you’ll have the tools and confidence to capture compelling, high-impact wildlife photos.
